In 1951 our football club was drawn into “group B“ of Hlohovec district. The pitch was situated where we can find a shopping centre today. Later it was transfered where a new school stands now. When in 1954 the foundations for a new school started to be built, the pitch was moved near a brook where we can find it today.  
In 1958 the chairman of the club was Ľudovít Černý (a carpenter). In those years the players of the club were: František Miklovič, Jozef Kováčik, Jozef Majzel, František Jankovič, František Bartek, Anton Hajro, Milan Laboš, Fridrich Macháč, František Barčák Jr., Ľudomír Černý, Silvester Černý.
Another chairman of the club was Július Černý. In that time, the football club had 60 members. The committee met regularly and organized temporary jobs mainly on the pitch.
From 1961 the chairmanship of Kľačany football club was taken over by Jozef Lazarčík Sr.
In order to increase financial resources, the footballers organized dance parties. The most famous were feast celebrations. Since the players needed to meet somewhere and to dress, the dressing rooms started to be built in the area of the football stadium and started to be used in 1970.
In those years the players of the club were: Rudolf Černý, Ernest Černý, Vladimír Jankovič, Štefan Laboš, Ján Krivošík, Jaroslav Durišek, Ján Tóth, Milan Tóth, Jozef Cvíčela, Karol Minárik, Emil Blesák, Jozef Daniš, Viliam Hrčka, Pavol Duriš, Anton Majzel, Jozef Lazarčík Jr., Rudolf Červeňanský, Ladislav Cvíčela, Pavol Jurík, Milan Krivošík, Karol Daniš, Anton Čižmár.

In 1977 the chairman of the club was Stanislav Gondora. As the pitch was in the vicinity of the brook, there was a problem with soaked playing field. Therefore, in 1978 the pitch had to be drained. In that time football tournaments started to be organized every year in our village with a name:”The harvest cup of the chairman of JRD”. In the football tournaments regularly participated clubs from Sasinkovo, Pastuchovo a z Vranovíce. The coach of the men team was Marián Kašák and that of the youth team was František Barčák Jr. The secretary of the team was Viliam Hrčka. In that time, the football club reached the highest success and progress. The club members were: Ján Maroň, Štefan Jurík, Štefan Červeňanský, Jozef Lazarčík Jr.., Michal Goga, Marián Kašák, Ladislav Cvíčela, Elemír Černý Jr., Milan Ďuriš, Jaroslav Komačka, Milan Krivošík, Karol Minárik, Karol Drábek,

Stanislav Ištok, Ľubomír Duriš. The football players regularly participated in temporary jobs picking grape, sugar beet and harvesting.
In 1980 Ľudomír Černý became the chairman of the club. The other members were: Viliam Hrčka, Vladimír Kováčik, Marián Kašák, Pavol Duriš, Stanislav Gondora, František Barčák Jr., Peter Černý, Ján Maroň.
The committee with these members created necessary conditions for a proper preparation of the club for championship. The committee in cooperation with ZDS helped to organize running races carrying name “The run of freedom” and also “The Run VOSR” from which originated today’s famous performance “The ten of Kľačany.” Every five years a celebration on the occasion of the foundation of the football club is held.
In 1980 a table tennis club was run by Marián Černý as the leader under the leadership of the football club. In the same year a junior football team was created with Milan Krivošíik as the coach. The men team was trained by Viliam Hrčka and the youth team was kept under the coaching of František Barčák.
From the year 1983 the function of chairman of the club was taken over by Marián Kašák. New members of the commitee were: Elemír Černý Jr., Ľuboš Ďuriš, Jaroslav Komačka, Alojz Černý, Jozef Lazarčík Jr., František Krivošík, Anton Ďuriš. 
The players were: Miroslav Ďuriš, František Krivošík, Zdeno Málik, Jozef Beko, Miroslav Černý, Peter Ďuriš, Jaroslav Srnka, Milan Kabát, Jozef Ďuriš, Jozef Paško, Marián Fabián, Jozef Cvíčela, Pavol Beko, Miloš Jurena, Ľuboš Málik.
The club had also their own bus which enabled the players and their fans to transfer to various villages for championships. After the death of Stanislav Baroš, the chairman of MNV, the tournaments were held in the village in memory of this man called “Memorial of Stanislav Baroš.”  In tournaments participated football teams from Rišňovce, Lukáčovce and Dubovany. One part of the tournament was meeting of the “elder men.”
Our players took prominent places. The year 1984 was very successful for our football team A. It won the cup VOSR. Also the next year this team won in the class III. and was qualified to higher competition. The coach of the junior team was Ernest Černý.

In the 90’s of the 20th century the activities of the club did not change despite the end of a lot of organizations. The members of the commitee were following: Jaroslav Babinec, Anton Ďuriš, Elemír Černý Jr., František Krivošík, František Barčák Jr., Ľuboš Ďuriš, Miroslav Daniš, Miroslav Ďuriš, Štefan Jurík a Jozef Lazarčík.
During the winter period, but especially in Christmas time, the players organized “The winter match in minifootball. ” In 1993 the pitch was occupied by these players: Miroslav Ďuriš, Peter Matušňák, Jaroslav Babinec, Milan Králič, Peter Jurík, Vladimír Piršel, Miroslav Fulier, Pavol Barčák, Miloš Krivošík, Roman Krivošík, Dušan Černý, Stanislav Černý, Bohuslav Černý, Martin Vejčík, Juraj Bahelka, Jaroslav Komačka, Vladimír Pestún, Vladimír Ďuriš, Vladimír Jurena, Ľuboš Barčák a Peter Fabián.
On the 26th of May 2002 a special member meeting confirmed to rename the club from TJ Družstevník Kľačany to OFK Kľačany. Radomír Sečány became the chairman and Marián Kašák its vice-chairman. Elemír Černý occupied the position of a secretary and the members of the committee were: Karol Drábek, Marián Vaško, Štefan Jurík, Miroslav Ďuriš, Jozef Lazarčík a Dušan Švancara. The chaiman of the revisory committee was lng. Vladimír Ďuriš and its members were Ing. Vladimír Pestún a Pavel Cvíčela.
In 2002 the coach of junior team was Karol Drábek and Stanislav Vejčík. The A-team was guided by Miroslav Krcho.  In this year the players organized for the first time “The cup of the mayor of the village Kľačany. “ The participant teams were from Pastuchovo, Alekšince and Rišňovce.
OFK continues to organize feast celebrations. In order to keep the pitch, the municipality bought a lawnmower for OFK. It is the responsibility of Mr. Fronc. At the present time, the executive committee is composed of:  Ing. Pavol Cvíčela, Ing. Vladimír Pestún, Ing. Vladimír Jankovič, Karol Drábek, Stanislav Vejčík, Miroslav Čmarada, Milan Králič.
The junior team was coached by Karol Drábek and the A-team by Ing. Vladimír Ďuriš. The youth team is coached by Stanislav Vejčík Sr. 
The players of the A-team in season 2006/2007 are: Barčák Pavol, Cepko Marcel, Cvíčela Pavol, Cvik Roman, Čiernava Peter, Čmarada Miloslav, Ďuriš Lukáš, Ďuriš Vladimír, Hudák Ján, Ištok Peter, Jamrich Peter, Jurík Peter, Kliman Daniel, Kurek Roman, Laboš Peter, Lackovič Marek, Markovič Michal, Mikuš Július, Patrik Nováki, Pestún Ivan, Peťko Peter, Plecho Martin, Sečány Radomír, Srnka Ľuboš, Srnka Miroslav, Štibran Erik, Vaško Pavol, Vejčík Stanislav.
